Background:A multidisciplinary approach to the patients with craniofacial abnormalities is standard of care. However, the availability of services is not uniform, and sources of funding differ. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate support services provided by craniofacial teams and sources of funding.

Methods:
A survey was submitted to the team leaders of approved American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial (ACPA) teams (N=161). The survey evaluated potentially beneficial services, and their sources of funding. A second survey was administered to patient families inquiring about interest in these services, on a scale from one to five.

Results:75 out of 161 (47%) of ACPA team leaders responded to the survey, and 39 out of 54 (72%) families. 97% of teams surveyed offer social work, of which the majority (61%) are funded by the hospital. 42% of respondents host events such as parties, with 61% of those paid for by fund-raising. 46% of respondents offer support groups to parents, while 36% offer support groups to patients. 25% of Centers provide summer camp opportunities for patients. 32% of respondents utilize social media to connect with patients and families. 4% offer scholarship opportunities.

Patient families surveyed indicated an average interest of 2.4/5 for support groups, 3.2/5 for social media, 2.9/5 for parties, 2.5/5 for summer camps, and 4/5 for scholarships.

Conclusion:Support services are offered by nearly all cleft and craniofacial teams. However, the type of services and funding varies. The respondents at our center indicate a desire for additional service opportunities.
